◆「ジャパントラベルアワード」とは
2021年に発足した、観光からより良い社会をつくることを目的としたアワードです。 観光における DEI（Diversity, Equity, Inclusion = 多様性、公平性、包括性）、サステナビリティ、インバウンドへの取組みを審査し、 ただの観光地ではない「感動地」に相応しい地域や企業を表彰しています。
アワード発足3年目の今年は、過去最多163件のエントリーから18の地域や企業がファイナリストに選ばれ、審査員による現地審査を経て、グランプリ・部門賞・特別賞が発表されました。
そして沖縄ダイビングサービスLagoonは、2024年度【サステナブル部門】で受賞をいただきました。
【審査員のコメント】
珊瑚について学んだ後は、自分で作ったサンゴ苗を海に植え付け。サステナブルな活動に興味があってもなくても楽しめて環境保護に貢献できる。レスポンシブル・ツーリズムの教科書のような魅力的な体験が評価された。

ラグーン代表として紗織が出席しました。
審査員のジャーマンウォルシュ・ジョイ氏より「成功したビジネスモデルの中で、環境の持続可能性と再生可能な持続可能性という考えを真に打ち出している」と高い評価をいただきました。
サンゴの植付け以外にも、mymizu登録店であること
環境に配慮された商品を販売していることも評価の対象となった。
ラグーンからの一言（一部抜粋）
私は長年サンゴを観察し続け、サンゴから循環の大切さを学びました。
生きているサンゴは小さな生物の隠れ家や餌を提供し、死んでしまってもなお、餌や住処となりまた新たな生命の基盤となる。
この賞を受賞できたのも、支えてくださった皆様のお陰です。特に、恩納村の方々の支えなしにここまでくることはできなかったと思います。
これからは優しさに甘えるだけではなく、ラグーンにできるこもはなんだろう。と問い続け、また未来を憂うのではなく、今できることを一つずつ行動に移していきたいと思います。

Saori attended as a representative of Lagoon.
Judge Joy Jarman-Walsh, founder of Inbound Ambassador Co., also praised the experience for “really putting forward the idea of environmental sustainability and regenerative sustainability inside of a successful business model.”
I have been observing corals for many years and have learned from them the importance of cycles.
Living corals provide shelter and food for small organisms, and even after they die, they provide food, shelter, and a foundation for new life.
I would like to thank everyone who supported me in receiving this award.
In particular, I could not have come this far without the support of the people of Onna Village.
From now on, we will not only take advantage of their kindness, but will continue to ask ourselves what we can do for the lagoon. Instead of worrying about the future, we will continue to do what we can do now, one action at a time.

I hope to connect them and create a better cycle.
Be rich in nature and in mind.
In order to continue environmental conservation, we feel that it is difficult to act and continue unless our hearts are rich in the present.
For a better future, we need a better now.
